Difference between Organic and Paid Content Promotion

Written by

If you aren't promoting your content you need to start doing that now.⠀

Promoting your content helps to increase website traffic, improve audience engagement, and help buyers make a decision to buy from you.⠀

There are two types of content promotion- Organic and Paid content promotion.⠀

Organic content promotion has to do with increasing the visibility of your content without having to spend money on boosting or promoting a post. This takes a lot of work compared to paid content advertising. You also need to be consistent in developing and publishing content so that you are not easily forgotten by your audience.⠀

Paid content promotion as the name implies, allows you to show your ads to a specific audience in exchange for some money. This type of promotion delivers your ads to the exact people that need your services, thus increasing sales.⠀

For you to get the best out of paid content promotion it's best you use the services of a professional to run it. A professional social media manager knows how to target your ads to reach your ideal buyers using their interest on social media platforms, demographics, down to the type of cell phones they use.⠀

Whether the post is doing well or not, Instagram and Facebook want you to advertise. It's business and they have to make money.

Do you have to boost every post they tell you to? You certainly don't want to do that unless you have an abundance of resources. You might say - "I can boost a post anytime I have great content worth boosting", but is that the right thing to do? Who decides if the content is great? You might have amazing content that looks so great but to others, it looks ordinary. That's why you don't rush into boosting a post.

When you want to boost a post it's best you boost a post that is already highly engaging organically. First, observe how others react to it, if it receives high engagement then it's a great content that needs to be boosted.

When your post does well organically you can only imagine how well it will perform when you boost it.

How to Set up your bio on Instagram

Written by

Have you heard of the saying 'First impression matters'? Yes, it does.

Your bio is the first thing people look out for when they visit your page. It helps a visitor decide if they should follow you or not.

An Instagram Bio is a little piece of information about you that appears on the top left corner of your Instagram page, directly below your logo. The information on your bio like I said earlier affects the decision people make when they visit your page. So it's important you use the right information that will turn those visitors into followers.

To begin, click on 'Edit Profile' just below your bio. There you will find your Name, Username, Website, and Bio. I believe you already have your Name and username set up already. For Website, this is where you can have the only clickable link on Instagram apart from tags and hashtags. You might want to make the best use of it.

If you have a website you can paste your URL there, but if you don't have a website you can type your phone number there using this format ' wa.me/234YOURNUMBER (For Nigerians). When done this way your number appears as a link and once it is clicked, it automatically drives people to your Whatsapp to start a conversation with you.

Now that you have successfully created a clickable link we can now proceed to create the perfect bio. You can only use a few words in your bio so you need to come up with a strategy that gives a quick summary about you and what you do.

The first line of your bio should contain keywords on what you do. If it's a business account, the second line should tell people your name. The third line should tell people your Location to attract the right people to you. The fourth line could have a call-to-action(CTA), telling people to click the link below as the link you set up earlier will appear last.

And there you have it, you can now successfully set up your bio. If you have any challenges don't hesitate to drop a comment. You can also follow me on Instagram by clicking→ Will Instills

Design your Content to Attract

Written by

It is one thing to create great content, it's another thing to package it in a way that is appealing to your audience.

Your image is one of the first things people notice when they come in contact with your content.

Ensure the image supports the context of your title and avoid using too many texts on it.

Why is this important?

Ever heard of a 'Blink Test'?

A Blink test is the first three to five seconds visitors use to judge your content.

These first few seconds are very crucial because visitors decide whether to keep reading or move on.

One of the deciding factors of their decision is the packaging of your content.

3 Ways to Generate Content Ideas

Written by

Have you ever wondered why when you want to embark on a project you are so full of ideas and feel unstoppable, but after a few hours, days or weeks, you feel very empty and cannot think or come up with a single idea?

Don't feel bad, it happens to everyone. According to James Webb Young, an American advertising executive, generating content ideas is more than waiting for an inspiration to come to you, there's a process because an idea is nothing more or less than a new combination of old elements. The process includes;

. Developing an appetite for reading regularly and reading wide;
. Digesting the materials that have been read and tying the nuts between them;
. Internalize Materials Unconsciously by doing something entirely different.

The Eureka Moment finally comes when ideas pop into your head unexpectedly.

Following this process will help you to be more efficient when creating content. Don't forget the first process, cause that's where it all begins.

The purpose of Social Media is for you to be Social. You need to interact with your followers and prospects. You need to be empathetic and show them you are human. Talk to them as if you already know them.

Why is this important?

▪️ It shows your followers that you care and that you're interested to them
▪️ It shows that you are listening and genuinely want to improve their situation and not just to sell and make a profit for yourself
▪️ It also helps you to know the challenges your prospects are going through; Do they have financial challenges and cannot currently afford what you are offering? Can you offer them something free or less expensive that can still solve their problem?

▪️ Finally, it helps you provide additional value to them, give advice and show them a fun version of you.

These will help build your brand, improve your reputation, and increase customer loyalty and trust.

We all had a taste of the power of social media when the two Giants along with Whatsapp went haywire yesterday.

It was even funnier to see it trend on Twitter yesterday. Twitter had that- 'hey, who's the boss now' kind of feeling.

Those that weren't on Twitter started opening Twitter accounts and those that abandoned their Twitter accounts like me started cracking brains to remember password and become active again.

I was watching SkySports News last night for the latest transfers in the world of football but all they spoke about was Facebook and Instagram being down and how it has affected ChelseaFc from announcing Frank Lampard as their new Manager.

At a point, I thought I was watching CNN. ShoutOut to all Chelsea fans on their new Boss.

This shows you the power of Social Media. But what will you do if the top social media accounts get hacked and get deleted by cybercriminals and Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and the rest of them are gone forever?

What happens to your Thousands and Millions of followers? What happens to your customers and the relationship you've built with them for years? Will they be gone forever?

Here's what you should do.

Don't put all your eggs in one basket(Social Media). Owning your very own website and building an email list is the key.

Emails have been existing since the 1970s and have been built to last. The latest survey shows that by next year (2020) Email usage worldwide will top 3billion.

Email is almost a billion users more than the biggest Social Media Platform (Facebook). So having your website and building an Email list with it is the perfect step for you to take.

If you need a website for your business click on 'Start A Project' at the top of this page.
